Last Day
Today is my last day of work for the summer!!! Jolene took me out to lunch today since it's my last day, and it was quite fun. We went to Acapulco's and I had me some nice tacos! Other than that, not a lot going on. I did make my first strip of my webcomic, and I'm working on my second strip right now. It's located in my blog links to the right, over there >>>.

My Cousin George Washington
Ok, funny times in the office right now!!!! My cousin put the mop thinger on her head while I drew a makeshift American Flag. And then I took a picture of her standing in front of our "flag", looking like George Washington, female version........hehehehe, if only I could upload the pictures right now, I'll have to do that when I get home! lol Pictures will be coming later!
Patrick is home!
Hello everybody! I'm back from my foray into the Kentucky abyss known as Patrick land. lol I had lots of fun! We watched The Dark Knight finally (good, but was getting kinda long), then we ate some sushi, and then we watched The Bucket List at his house on Blu-Ray. And he gave me a t-shirt that says "I <3 My Geek." =) I almost didn't want to leave..... Q_Q and I got pulled over for speeding on the way home. Kinda scary, especially since it was my first time, but he let me off with a warning. Definately driving a bit slower from now on, I just wanted to get home to be able to sleep some before I came into work today. Oh well, it's not like it doesn't happen to everyone, right? Oh, and Patrick liked the project that I made for him!
So yea, I've been watching lots of Scrubs lately. Almost done with the entire series! I'll post later if I can think of anything to say to my loyal reader (AKA me)!

COMICS!!!!!!!
Ok, I've been wanting to create a webcomic for a long time now, since I've been reading SOO many of them. Well, yesterday I finally came up with a theme and I've decided to run with it. I'm calling it "O'Connor 337: A Beat Off of 1337". See, my boyfriend and all my friends are rooming together this year in O'Connor room 337. There are 8 of them. And their antics are a perfect muse for a comic! I've already got about 10 ideas for some strips; all I have to do now is wait for my graphics tablet to come in the mail (I bought one today off of Amazon to help me in the illustration department.) I just hope these guys won't get offended. lol I doubt it. I already told my boyfriend about it and he thinks they won't mind, so it should be all good.

Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens
Well, I'm back from my second vacation of the summer: NYC to see the Yankees play. It was fun, aside from the fact that my parents and aunt and uncle didn't want to do much but ride buses. I did however manage to go to all but one of the borroughs of NYC, so that is pretty cool. That and I went into the Empire State Building!1!

Dum Dum Dum
Hello all! Last week was vacation week, so I didn't work much, but still worked some. I don't have internet at home right now because some trees need to die first. But I did get my hair highlighted and lowlighted, and I upgraded my iTunes and iPod software so I can get the App Store!!!!!!! So yea, I have some cool new apps for my touch, including Pandora Radio! w00t! I did this by bringing my laptop down to the office so that I could leech their internetz.....:P oh well, they pay for our home interwebz anyway.
Well, that's all for now, I'm kinda bored and wanting some root beer. Yes I said I wanted a soft drink......what is this world coming to?

Absence
Sorry I haven't posted in a week: After Monday, I was stacking boards all week, so I wasn't at my computer in the office. Over 4th of July weekend, I went golfing for the first time in 3 years or so! I played alright; I stayed up with the rest, and I even had a birdie! It just seemed that my ball was a piece of steel and the trees were magnets.....I couldn't get away from those trees! lol Oh well. But yea, right now I'm in the office at the computer because it's raining outside, which means we can't take the lumber off strips because it was just in the kiln (the kiln dries it, so putting the lumber in the raining seems, well, dumb.) But I think it has stopped raining now, so I should go. lol

Dungeons & Dragons
Well, it's a new week, and I've finally finished my DnD character for our fall campaign: a kalashtar psion (telepath). My dungeon master is even letting me play as a psionic, so I'm pretty happy. I've named her Nokashtai, a typical Kalashtarian name.
Well, I'm really tired right now for some reason, so I'm gonna go. I might post again later, but ya never know.

DnD Character
Hey.....I'm tired and bored. I finished my maid duties for the day and now I'm trying to create a new Dungeons and Dragons character........unfortunately, I keep going back to the character I created for our last campaign, which I really liked. I want to take the Master of Many Forms prestige class again, but I need to go about it a different way to help round my character out a little more. I was thinking 6 levels of Wild Monk, so I have the Wild Shape ability prerequisite, and, of course, 10 levels of MMF, but the other 4 is where I'm having troubles.......that and what race I want to be. I want to be able to cast some magic though too....maybe a scorcer or a wizard.......hmm......oh well.

Yet another day....O.o
Ahh, back for another day. Yep, I'm at work again, recovering from a massive stomachache.......NOT going into the details.....uggh........but I found, yes, yet another webcomic that I've heard of in the past but forgot about. I like it because I play Dungeons and Dragons and it's all about DnD. It's called The Order of the Stick: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html .
Enjoy, I'll probably be back later anyways.
Oh and *subliminal message* click on the ads, it makes me money......hehe. Hey, I'm a poor college student, so any help will be appreciated......... :P

My Daily Job Doings
Well, I want to post again, so I'll just post about what I do on a daily basis at my job. But first, some background:
I work at my family's sawmill, known as Southern Indiana Hardwoods, Inc. It is owned by my dad and his three brothers. They've been in business for over 25 years, first starting out as a logging company known as Merkley Logging. They first purchased a mobile sawmill and then fit it to be a permanent mill. They worked at this mill until the fateful December morning of 1999: it burnt down. Before the mill burnt down, they also had a pallet stock and kiln operation on the old family turkey farm property. So they decided to rebuild down in that location. This location is pretty cool, especially since the new sawmill has a two story tall band saw with 8 foot diameter wheels.......*drools*.......yes, I'm a technology/machine nerd........maybe that's strange in a girl? Oh well. So they've been working at this site since 2000 and only recently relocated the office down here.
So now for my doings. Before I worked in the office, I worked in the pallet stock operation and back on the lumber stacker. Pallet stock is very loud, so I have to wear earplugs, and I basically stack lumber. This lumber is used for making those wooden pallets that companies put things on, like at Sam's Club. Ya know, how they have stacks of lots of the same product on a wooden platform? That platform is a pallet. Well, we cut the wooden pieces that go to make those, so those pieces are what I stacked. I also worked back at the lumber stacker machine. This lumber is lumber that you would expect. I stacked everything from 8 foot boards to 16 foot boards, from 4 inch wide to over a foot wide, and from 1 inch thick to 2 inches thick. There are two different way you stack lumber back here. If the lumber is being kiln dried, you have to put wooden strips in between the different layers so that air can flow. If you are taking the lumber out of the kiln, you have to take them off of strips and and then restack them without strips. Sometimes you have people working with you, which makes it go quicker. When you put strips on, you sometimes have 1 or 2 people laying the strips down while you work on making sure the next layer fits. If you are taking them off strips, you might have one person making sure the pieces of lumber stay in position. But then again, there are sometimes where I would work all by myself stacking 16 foot long boards, over 1 foot wide, and sometimes over 1 inch thick. Oh well.
But now I work in the office. This is definately not as back breaking, and I kind of enjoy it. I work with my cousin (who was working here before my aunt quit, hence why I have a job here) who does most of the work. I'm here to take the load off, basically. I fax papers, file papers, write out invoices, input data into spreadsheets for logs hauled (we also have a trucking business, SIH Trucking, LLC) and trips out of state, answer phone calls, and I clean on Fridays. Sometimes I make trips to the bank or pick things up at the store that we need, like office supplies or hoses to water the plants around the office, or even band aids........god knows you need band aids at a sawmill. Basic office work, I guess. I describe my job title as Monday-Thursday: Pion, Friday: Maid. lol A lot of the times I'm on the internet though, because Jolene, my cousin, doesn't always have work for me to do. Actually, I'm at work right now typing this......hehe, and most of these posts have been while at work.......actually......all of them have been.........hehe.
Well, I hope I haven't bored you enough.

My Favorite Webcomics
I've been getting into webcomics lately. One that I've been going to for almost a year now is http://www.xkcd.com/ (a friend in college told me about it.) I like this one because it's really geeky, referring to math, science, and computers a lot. hehe. And then there's http://www.explosm.net/comics , which is Cyanid and Happiness.....hehe, that's a funny one. But one day I went to that site and scrolled down to the bottom and saw links to other webcomics. So I clicked on http://www.questionablecontent.net/ and was amazed. I love it! Then I found other things related to QC, such as the store and the blog on the site. But I also found http://www.jephdraw.com/ , which is a blog that the creator of QC posts random drawings that he does. It's pretty cool.
So yea, if you ever get bored, search for some good webcomics, or go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_webcomics and find a webcomic you would like!
EDIT: I forgot to add what I'm listening to: some country song on my cousin's XM radio.....uggh

Projects and Caves
Hello everyone who reads this blog.....even though it's probably not many. ANYWAYS. I'm bored. I'm at work right now manning the office alone because my cousin isn't getting in until after lunch because she's driving her boyfriend to the airport so he can return to Iraq.
I've been up to a few things since the last time I posted. I just got back from a week in Cancun on Monday morning. That was soooo much fun! My boyfriend came along and everything! w00t!
Um, I've also been working on a project/present for my boyfriend for our one year anniversary in August. Keeps me occupied I guess, since I'm not gonna get to see him for about 2 months since he's going back down to Florida for a summer semester again.
Let's see. I've also been designing a new dorm room layout for my sophomore year return to ERAU. I'm gonna make a cave for me under a lofted bed. The drawings look pretty cool in my opinion.
Oh, and I've been reading an AWESOME web comic: http://www.questionablecontent.net
check it out!
Also, I've decided to post "what I'm listening to at the moment" in my sequential posts.

Intellectual Starvation
Humans need more than mental and physical stimulation. Mental stimulation is such a general term that it can almost be grouped in physical stimulation when regarding the chemistry of the brain. Some people need more that what mental and physical stimulation can offer: intellectual stimulation. Intellectual stimulation is more than a combination of mental and physical stimulation; it provides an understanding only available by experiences. The discussion of topics, such as the Knights Templar, creates creates a physical-mental stimulation through the interactions of many people. The same can be said for the act of exploring new places, such as deep in the rainforest or high in the mountains. This might seem more physical to many, but to some, through their understanding and knowledge, the gaining of the appreciation for nature and ancient civilizations, for example, the physical stimulation can be turned into a mental stimulation that also stimulates the intellect. So case in point, humans who are of the type who demand intellectual stimulation may often find themselves starved and suffocated if surrounded by others who do not share the need for intellectual stimulation. The intellectually demanding need to find a safe way to breath, feed, and vent out ideas or face the possibility of driving oneself and others to the possible edge of the mental cliff.
Love of Money is the Root of all Evil
Humans are stupid. We are the inferior ones, not animals. They can survive without the dependence on greed. We have damned ourselves to a life full of worry. We can't own land, idiots. It's physically impossible. You don't own resources, so what gives you the right to charge for them? We don't own the Earth; the Earth owns us!
Can someone send me to Mars already????
Can someone send me to Mars already????
Rant #1: Non-Conformists
To all of you "non-conformists" who are thinking they are making a statement, you aren't. It is physically, mentally, and emotionally IMPOSSIBLE to non-conform. Not conforming means not doing what other people are doing. Therefore non-conformists conform to the standard of non-conforming. No human past, present, and future can be a true non-conformist. Every human is unique. EVERY! Everyone is conforming to the SAME standard of being unique! So, "non-conformist" should be stricken from all records, since it isn't a real thing. The idea isn't even real. It's like infinity; it's a concept but can't be reached. The only thing "infinity" has on "non-conforming" is the fact that the concept can be grasped. Non-conforming is a stupid thing that should die. It's like immortality. No one is immortal. You don't see people going around preaching immortality (human-life, not spiritual), so why are there people preaching non-conforming?
Greetings Earthlings!
Ok, I'm gonna TRY and blog.....I've tried to do this a few times before but always forgot about it. Well, now, once I get my data plan, I have BlackBerry Pearl and will be able to blog on the go. This is just a place to put all of my thoughts.
